US men beat Australia!! Ply semifinals with Argentina!! - London Olympic 2012

Written By Unknown on Aug 9, 2012 | 1:30 PM

In London Olympic 2012, U.S. men's basketball team defeated Australia 119-86 Wednesday

In London Olympic 2012, U.S. men's basketball team defeated Australia 119-86 Wednesday and advanced to the semifinals with fierce rival Argentina. Russia & Spain will play in the other semifinal Friday and the winners play Sunday for gold. KevinDurant (14 points), LeBronJames ( 11 points), DeronWilliams(18 points), (Anthony 17 points), and Kevin Love(10 points) were the key player to win the match against Australia.
Whatever Carmelo Anthony said to Kobe Bryant at halftime of the game and Anthony won't repeat it Bryant. Anthony referring to Bryant's nickname, "Black Mamba". He was a little sleepy out there. And "I was talking to him at halftime and in the third quarter. I guess I pushed the button, and he woke up."

U.S. men's basketball team defeated Australia 119-86 Wednesday and advanced to the semifinals with fierce rival Argentina. Bryant missing all four of his attempts from the field in the first half hit six of 10 shots and scored 20 points, 18 on three-pointers, in the second half.

Russia & Spain will play in the other semifinal Friday, and the winners play Sunday for gold.
Bryant scored 12 points on four three-pointers in a 64-second span in the fourth quarter. It turning a 15-point lead into a 25-point edge and ensuring another large margin of victory despite a close game at times.

Bryant said, “I just found my rhythm & it is my best game of the Olympics after slumbering through portions of 5½ games.” And "I started shooting the ball, and it went in for me."
KevinDurant finished with 14 points & LeBronJames had a triple-double with 11 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists, DeronWilliams scoring 18, Anthony adding 17 and KevinLove posting 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Now,  US Basketball team face on Argentina for semifinal.

Anthony also said, “We’re ready for them & excited about this matchup”. After the game, in the group, we said we have to prepare for them mentally."

Team of Argentina of this Olympics’ Basketball has four the key players from Argentina's 2004 gold medal team, featuring Manu Ginobili (35 years old), Luis Scola (32), Carlos Delfino (29) and Andres Nocioni (32).

Argentina took gold in Athens’ Olympic with a bronze in the 2008 Beijing Games, and now wants one more shot at gold. They would like nothing more than to beat the USA in the semifinals.

These two teams have played twice in the last three weeks, once in an exhibition match and once in Olympic group play this week.

The USA defeated Argentina by 86-80 July 22 in Barcelona and led by double digits until a late Argentina run made it a four-point game with 2:50 remaining in the fourth quarter. Then again the USA won 126-97 Monday, blowing open a 60-59 halftime lead with a 42-17 third quarter.

With the risk higher, can Argentina make it a closer game or not? Argentina knows it can score against the USA. But can the Argentines limit the USA's dangerous offense, which can score points in dizzying spells & run away with the game?

James said that we are playing some good ball right now & going up against a team that we know & that we're used to know how to play with them. They're going to be excited to play us. We're going to be excited to play them as well.”

London Olympics 2012: Andy Murray crushes Roger Federer to win gold

Andy Murray crushes Roger Federer to win gold metal in London Olympics 2012!!

Just four weeks ago from today, Andy Murray fell his tears on Centre Court when he become the first British man to win Wimbledon since 1936 ended in a straight four-set defeat to Roger Federer.

Sunday, on the same weather with grass court, Murray won the greatest prize of his career. He shared with all of Britain by defeating Swiss champion to win Olympic gold in men’s singles at the England Club court.

Murray wept again, but this time with joy and suspicion, upon seals the 6-2, 6-1, 6-4 victory that was superb in its unbalanced doubt, over in 1 hour 56 minutes of time.
The 25-year-old Scot said this interview with NBC in a post-match on-court. “I was expecting it to be a tough match.” He also said, “No way did I expect a score line like that in the final.”

Murray was brilliant in all facets of the final match of the game — his serve, his service return, his defense, his offense, his tactics and his resolve as well.

With an all out of attack, Murray broke Federer in four of the Swiss champion’s first six games. And Federer, who was seeking to become the third man in tennis history & fifth player overall to claim a Golden Slam by winning 2012 London Olympic gold & all four majors, he failed to win in this Olympic. He finished with 31 unforced errors & only 24 winners.

After getting in the first two sets, Federer had to go through three consecutive sets to win Olympic singles gold and complete the Golden Slam he desires. And he steadied himself reasonably well while at least for three games.

While the third set on serve at 2-2, Federer’s uncharacteristic error costs him. He hit balls into the net; sailed long and wide. He summoned power when touch was in order & it seemed as if Federer had lost track of where the court’s lines were.

Though Murray, who had never beaten Federer on Center Court’s grass, kept the pressure on like a constant veteran, the quality of his play never hesitate in the face of the Swiss meltdown.

Within 10 minutes, Murray was up 4-2 in the third set. With another break of serve, the Scot would claim another Olympic gold for Britain. Federer seemed Murray’s best ally, miss-hitting ball one after another.

But Federer was graceful in defeat, congratulating Murray with a broad smile as well as a hug at Centre Court & quickly exited the stage. After beating Murray at Wimbledon, Federer was highly complementary of Murray & restated his belief which would eventually win a major.

The Olympics may not be one of the Tennis’s sport four Grand Slams, but for the man to carry the burden of the British Island on his back each time he takes the court at Wimbledon, Sunday’s victory was truly grand.

According to Murray, he said, “I’ve had a lot of tough losses in my career, but this is the best way to come back from the Wimbledon final,” I’ll never forget it.

Argentina’s Juan Martin del Potro, a marathon semifinal Friday, knocked off world ranking No. 2 Novak Djokovic, 7-5, 6-4, to claim bronze. This medal was the first for an Argentine athlete at the London Olympics 2012.

U.S. men rout France 98-71 in London Olympic Basketball opening game.

Kevin Durant, who scored 22 points as well as LeBron James, added eight assists & a most welcome win by U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team with rough-and-ragged 98-71 over France on Sunday. To get Second medal, the Americans expected a tough test from a French team featuring San Antonio guard Tony Parker & five other NBA players. According to Durant,” We knew this game wasn’t going to be easy to us,” & “We know even if we don’t start well we can finish it toughly.”

Kevin Durant, who scored 22 points as well as LeBron James, added eight assists & a most welcome win by U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team with rough-and-ragged 98-71 over France on Sunday.

Carmelo said,” We know everybody else expects us to win by 40 points,” “For us, a win’s a win that we expect every game to be like this one.”

USA tries seeking a second straight gold medal to match as like as they won Beijing Olympic four years ago. To get Second medal, the Americans expected a tough test from a French team featuring San Antonio guard Tony Parker & five other NBA players.

The superstar squad finally put France away in the second half easily, although overcoming some major foul issues and sloppy play in first half.
According to Kobe Bryant, he said that this 2012 team could beat the 1992 Dream Team that changed international hoops forever at the Barcelona Games. This matchup is mythical, but the London Games aren’t more likely than before, U.S. team will have to play much better in upcoming games if it plans to maintain American dominance.

“They’re going to be very, very tough to beat” & not to want concede anything, but when asked if the Americans can be beat, he took a time before responding, Parker said.

Kevin Love finished with 14 points for the Americans while first lady Michelle Obama on hand to cheer on the U.S., Durant, and Carmelo Anthony & Tyson Chandler added nine rebounds respectively. The Team U.S. will play Tuesday against Tunisia, beaten by Nigeria as score 60-56, in the tournament opener.
While, Parker playing with goggles to protect a surgically repaired his left eye, scored 10 points but France, which trailed by just one point after the first quarter.  Ali Traore led the French with 12 points in Olympic competition against the USA.

With the score as 52-36 , the U.S. leading at halftime, Durant opened the second half with a 3-pointer, Bryant dropped one from long range & after James dunked a pass from Deron Williams, the Americans led by 64-43.
After three quarters the U.S. team led to 78-51. Coach Mike Krzyzewski rested three players named as Bryant, James and Durant in the fourth quarter. When Krzyzewski realized that the game well in hand, then he gave a chance of 19-year-old Anthony Davis, who the top pick in June’s NBA draft, it is his first taste of Olympic play.

After the U.S. started the game, team missed its first six three-point attempts when Bryant, James and Durant started finding the range from beyond the arc. This trio finished the game a combined 6 for 12 from three-point range while the rest of the U.S. went 2 for 13 points.

Parker-30-year-old player nearly missed these Olympics because of underwent surgery after he was hit with broken glass during a nightclub fight in New York. Parker was not involved while the bottle-throwing fight between R&B singer Chris Brown and members of rapper Drake’s entourage.

Parker was able to break down the U.S. defense early but once the Americans forced the ball from his hands, the French had no one else to turn to game back.

Some of France’s players turned to take a cautious look at this trio Bryant, James and Durant when they filed onto the hardwood.

At halftime following a sloppy by the U.S team, foul-filled first half in which the Americans were whistled for 18 personals & complained about some calls. While Anthony and Russell Westbrook spent the final six minutes of the second quarter on the bench after picking up their third fouls.

France’s Ronny Turiaf likened the U.S. team’s ability to play whether big or small to a two-faced beast, he said it few days ago. He also said, “That team is like a Gemini,” who will play with Paul and the Clippers next season as well. “They have two faces, a nightmare-nightmare.”

But the U.S. team was its own worst enemy while first quarter was still running. Too often, the American settled for jump shots rather than driving to beside the basket. The Americans missed all six 3-pointers in the opening period when France’s Yannick Bokolo drained a 3 in the final second quarter; France was within 22-21.

Nicolas Batum, who plays for Portland, considered as the U.S. might “panic.” But James opened the second quarter with a 3, the U.S. quickly went on an 11-0 run and by midway through the third, Bryant and Co. restored order.

So, the U.S. reserves scored on dunk after dunk in the fourth, James & Bryant lounged on the bench as well. They know there will be tougher games ahead to them. The first one though was over.

“We knew this game wasn’t going to be easy to us,” Durant said. “We know even if we don’t start well we can finish it toughly.” After fourth quarter game was finished by scoring 98-71 as France is beaten by USA.
